Aspiration.Ambition.
These two words are seen as synonyms . They are not. These look alikes are poles apart, meaning wise and spirit wise.
Both have something common. Those common factors make them look alike , giving them synonymical identity.
Those common factors are strong desire toward something . That something is discernably distinguishable as different .
Aspiration seeks nothing big , rather that which is within explorable reach and much within sight even though materially elusive for want of matching inputs. Those inputs clearly seem attainable despite being elusive at any material time.
Ambition is primarily a desire so strong as to hold even a distant , better say, a remotely distant ,target as one's dream to be realised.
Aspiration is an effort to reach objectives that are inherent in one's visible reach whereas ambition is akin to a vision which may not have a bearing on the present status or entitlement.
Aspiration prompts one to look within, ambition may be just the contrary , promoting an exoteric or extroverted focus of one's priorities and endeavours.
The distinctive features of the former with the latter includes the same as those between  spirit and matter.
