If History is not, science may be your subject, and even if not, you may have scientific temper . Am I not right?
You know, limbic system? Well I don't , save and except that it is like a sensor in the human computer, responsible for mental programming. You program the mind into storing an input 2 multiplied by 2 is 6. Once accepted , your computer would yield results that way.
We have stored numerous such erroneous data in the mind, without classifying them. Classification means what? You are a store house of data, but you have not classified them into , what you know , what you are informed, what you believe, what you infer.
This may seem strange . But try to write a post or refer to what you have already written. Break it up in simple sentences and then into independent paras, numbered.
Thereafter write down categorically, para 1 I know, 2 , I am informed, 3 I believe, 4 I opine, and so on.
You may realise, what sustains your convictions is very thin set of unsustainable inputs over which you have no say, research or mind application.
And in that situation you read or hear something that strikes your concept. That agitates you.
That's reason why, one liners are rarely endurable, but long write up, duly reasoned out would force itself into your mindset, if you have nothing contrary to dispute.
That's why, researched write up is expedient and preferable over short comments. The latter may lead to controversies, the former may seem immune even though it may amaze.
The contents available on social media is not much encouraging, qualitatively, being more opinion oriented than factual, sheathed in apparent prejudice against one or infatuated by another. Even that may be affordable, if logically weaved. That is not even rare, say it is mostly absent.
That is unfortunate.
I will be too glad , to stand corrected, on being specifically pointed out, why.
