Swami Vivekananda's reference about Devi-Devta means what?
Gods-Godesses?
Absolutely wrong. Like it is wrong to assume what we were told when we were kinds, pointing at the moon, that displayed an old lady with a Charkha.
The God-Godesses definition is similar. We misconceived these entities to be seated somewhere in the void, in the seventh sky.
Devi-Devta means luminous bodies, that exist in the human mind, like highly sensitive softwares , that the inaccessible layers in the two hemispheres of the brain hide.
These softwares and hardwares situate in the region beyond the active levels of the mind. It is scientifically proven that 90% of the brain remains inactive and even 10% is a level which ordinary mortals do not achieve, unless one is an Einstein, Gandhi, Shakespeare, Satyajit Ray or a like wizard.
These luminous bodies are active principles within the human mind , but are otherwise inaccessible in the voluntary realms.
What we experience in dreams or in altered states are attributable to these very micro levels of the senses. These conduits are definitely possible to be accessed through the mind . The extra sensory perceptions within the deeper layers of the mind are perceived as luminous bodies that seers and sages called Devi -Devta which we inanely misconceived to be existing elsewhere , though it is our own computer system which holds the whole clue and key to its access.
Swami Vivekananda says this little in the shared post,
